This is partially true, from our probe, it’s seen that:

• Secondary School (Aged 13~16) – Uses more SMS, Music and Cameras
• Polytechnic Student (Aged 17~20) – Uses more SMS, Music and Time Working
• Adults (Aged 20 and above) – Uses more SMS, and Calls Our analysis is that,

Working adults contact people with a specific purpose. E.g. I need to contact my clients.

Whereas, Teens contact people without a specific purpose. E.g. Mass SMS with expecting little/no response. Hoping for a response. Using a specific function for entertainment, music, camera, games. Have it became: Working Adults -> Needs (To contact people.) -> Work Teens -> Wants -> Leisure

-Adults treat it as a phone            * Teens; all in one function

-Adults CAN live without phone:      * Teens CANT live without phone:

-uses them as a function.                    * use it as a all in one fuction.

-without hp contact still                     *Like as if brain is inside the phone [notes,organsizer,contacts] got hardcopy; phone book.

Question given to user AFTER doing our probe package :

1 ) Do you feel the importance of hp?

Liang le : communicatoin between friends & family. Especially of the time of meeting

Zi He  : Hard to contact others, requires a lot fo time and effort to search for telephone booth.

Cindy : Didnt really feel importantof having a handphone in this event

Xiaoling : hard for commnication, shorter journey will be taken if a phone is present.

pat : Having handphone would be much easier

2) how you feel during the journey

Liang le : Damn tiring, very disorganised. Would usually plan my journey at home [ using internet] before going out

Zi He  : Sometimes felt frustrated

Xiaoling : like finding unfamiliar address without the help of familiar people.

pat : Without a handphone it was quite difficult to get to destination.

3) what are the method you used to  “find” your way  around unfamiliar place?

Liang le :Mrt maps and asking passerbys

Zi He  : Will start to to search for locations through maps or ask dirrections [ Not Easy]

Cindy : directory maps.

4) Is it easy to find the phone booth? how do you find it?

Liang le : Yes. 5. When there’s coffee shop & 7eleveN. sure can find!

Zi He  : kind of hard towards a plce i have never been to. Asked for locations and directions from others to find it.

Cindy : Yes

Xiaoling : Phone booths are not every where. Hard to find one.

5) if its not easy, why?  if it is easy. why ?

Liang le : Yes. 5. When there’s coffee shop & 7eleveN. sure can find!

Zi He  : not easy. there are no map or signs of direction located around the blocks. Thus, it takes time and effort to find them.

Cindy : They are near the shops, under HDBs.

6) Do you NEED your hp? how cam we improve on this event ?

Liang le : Nope, place without coffeeshops/ 7eleveN. That would epitomise the difficulty of finding phone booths.

Zi He  : Precisely! Find me a better map.

* didn’t know there’s an express lane.

* didn’t know that they can take 1 basket, thought it was only for people with 5 to 7 items.

* Too many people using the express lane rather find the shortest lane

* minority said : sometimes the express lane only got one counter. So it’s the same as queuing the normal lanes

*one said : why go to side when already in middle?

*cause its called EXPRESS. So should be faster

A multimedia CD-ROM title is a like a menu ,content or instructions. Just like a book, with content. However, it has nicely planned interface and flash contents are included too.

3. What are the differences between website design and CD-ROM title design?

Web Site Design there are constraints of image size & its best not to be over 250KB due to consideration of page loading while CD-Rom has a capacity of 700mb.

Additionally, to access to contents inside the CD-Rom we got to insert into the computer while website content can be found anywhere as long as there’s connectivity. Lastly, CD-ROM is a cost-effective medium for the storage and display of information

Everyone has their own definition towards good experience. Listening to music can be one too.

Personally i felt that having a good experience is when you’re Having fun, feeling happy | exciting | touched, or even like being anticipated towards something  & receiving surprise afterward. Most importnatly, experience that creates fabulous memory & will be etched in ones heart  is what i think of good experience.

Taken few days ago, at Pasir Ris park to celebrate birthday with two friends of mine (: We played the facilities over there till late evening. Had Great fun cause its been long since i last played like a child. hahahas. This thing im on is FUN especially when ana push me D. There’s another “game” we had. Sliding off the “teletubbie hill”!! HAHA! that idea was taken from some foreign kid  sliding off  it with card boards!

This is taken at the beginning of this year. When i was at taiwan; yang ming shan. The one on the left is my godma in her 50-s, then followed by me & my sister. We bug her to take that jump shot with us with LOTS OF TOURIST looking over. haha, it was a good experience because we ‘hike’ our way up to the top & when we reached there, we took this.

This, taken @ Kallang Ice Skating Centre; last year September. It’s my first experience on ice skating with my siblings & brother gf. It turned out to be super fun Although its just skating in that neither big nor small ring in circles and circles. But, its my first experience skating in a ice ring ! Had a few falls, but that’s because i wanted to do 3 spins on the spot after achieving 1. LOL.

This was taken when i went to one of the PAP as relief  teacher for a week. Its a good experience because not everyone can have such opportunity, and the interactions with kids is really fun & enjoyable Being asked to take a class of 20 over K2 kids alone is a really challenging job. & Making sure of their safety when we travel from one void deck to another is rather stressful at times because they still dont understand the meaning of danger. But when at the end of the day you get big hugs from the kids, every hardword really paid off

this is a short clip on one of the stages i had to complete on my birthday celebration this year. It’s a game my girlfriends planned. This stage is called ‘spot the difference’. Although it stopped even before i start doing my quiz. But its just a show of example for this experience. The most memorable one throughout all my birthday celebration.

They planned this game to let me complete on my own. & the four of them will be waiting at different stages ; 2 each. Then i had to complete every stage in order to get the clues to my final destination. An experience with mixture of feelings. Anxious to know what’s up next as i walk alone towards the next station. Then feeling surprises at the things that they’ve planned and done with great effort. Having fun while solving all those quiz. Looking forward to what i’ll get at the end of the day. hahas. It’s one experience that others can hardly understand unless you’re part of us.

Like i said in my definition of good experience at the starting of the post  this experience definitely fits the title good experience. Because, its a fabulous event that will etched in my heart forever. Partly because its the first time i celebrate birthday in this “amazing race” style but also because its really fun & anticipating

What is the difference between Web Design & Web Applications?

Web Design is skills to deisgn a web page/ a web site while Web Applications is a sofware application

Boring. Simple. Unappealing
•Who do you think the site is created for?
For those who supports them. Wants to be a member, or already a member.
•What are the good attributes of the site (in terms of usability, aesthetic issues, etc)?
It is easy to understand. Navigations are very straightforward too. Information is well organize although there isn’t much to explore about. In all, it’s simple for understanding.

•What are the bad attributes of the site?
The layout is too simple and unappealing. It does not show that it’s a website for fashion. Boring colors like pale yellow is chosen, no contrast is shown. It will make users lose their interest after awhile. The color that represents THIS FASHION is not shown too. Their known color is red and black. But yet, yellow was the main color in the webpage. It makes no link.

The navigations ‘contact Us & Outlets’ are not place beside each other. Its not properly planned. Since this two are closely related. Then they should be place either together or near so that users will have a “better life” getting quick information. Under navigations of services there are anchor links like FAQ, which I think, shouldn’t be placed there. FAQ should be align with the “first level” of navigations. Because, it provides FAQ not only for services purposes but overall enquires.
